The investment company is family owned and was founded in 2020 by Harry Klagsbrun after having rounded off an international career in the financial services and investment industry spanning over 40 years.
Harmar's investment strategy is aimed at achieving a balanced approach to risk taking and the long-term perspective. Our focus is to build a diversified portfolio and through our investments, create value that will last over generations. We are committed to live by our values and we aim to have a positive impact with everything we do.

Harry is the founder and chairman of Harmar and has the overall responsibility for the decisions and the investments. He has over 40 years of international experience as an advisor, investor and owner, with specialist expertise in corporate governance, corporate culture, company transformation and value creation.
He has held leadership positions with firms such as Smith Barney, Handelsbanken, Alfred Berg, SEB and EQT, and his credo is "make it personal" also in business. In his spare time, Harry enjoys film, art, sports and music, and will occasionally pick up his guitar and play a few tunes!
Berit is our chief operating officer and manages the finances of the Family Office business. She monitors our investments from a financial, legal and tax perspective and prepares all the regulatory filings connected to our business and corporate structure. Berit has more than 20 years of experience working with administration within Family Office businesses. Berit is an outdoor person. In her spare time, she loves to go hiking, hunting, skiing and running and to spend time with her family and her three dogs.
Jenny is our business coordinator and provides the Harmar team with administrative support. She is also PA for Harry, in addition to being Office Manager. Before joining Harmar, Jenny worked for 14 years as an executive assistant in the private equity industry. She also has experience from the travel industry working as a business travel consultant. Jenny is passionate about travelling and exploring new places, and especially with her family. She also loves music, plays the piano and sings.
Marina is responsible for Harmar’s interactions with our communities at large, including driving and coordinating our philanthropic and charity activities. She has spent most of her active career in the hospitality industry, with particular emphasis on hotels and restaurants. Marina enjoys modern dance, art and literature, and is also a curious traveller, always on the lookout for new exciting adventures.
Andrew is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring investments across Harmar’s portfolio, with a focus on direct public and private investments and external managers. He has over a decade of experience across alternative investments, equity research, and corporate M&A. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys skiing, pottery, live music, and anything on the water.
